Justine went to art school in Wellington where she concentrated on design and illustration but it wasn’t until she moved to London that her love for illustration was ignited. After a time at Middlesex University and the Royal College of Art, Justine moved back home to New Zealand. Over the 12 years she has been illustrating she has created a style that incorporates strong colour and composition combined with simple but sophisticated imagery, usually within a concept or narrative. Humour, drama and the melancholic all make an appearance in her work.

She is currently based in sunny Tauranga where she lives with her partner and cat Olive and cat Onion. She enjoys fine wine and mashed potatoes with HP sauce.
