These Apps Encourage It.” This article explores the rising popularity and safety concerns of apps that allow teens to virtually meet like-minded people outside of their social spheres. As platforms like Instagram and TikTok become more performative, new apps such as Yubo and Hoop have become increasingly popular ways of communication.
