Josie Norton is an award-winning illustrator based in Pittsburgh, PA. Her conceptual illustrations explore surreal humor, existential crises, obsessive line work and bold color dynamics. She has been published in the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, 3×3 Illustration and the American Illustration Archive. Utilizing her experience as a former print designer, she has drawn numerous editorial illustrations for clients such as the New York Times, the New Yorker, and NPR, to name a few. She completed a residency in illustration at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and holds a BA in Studio Arts and Japanese from the University of Pittsburgh. She primarily works on a drawing tablet, but in her personal work also dabbles in a variety of analog mediums, such as watercolor, ink, color pencil, acrylics and clay. In her spare time, she enjoys purchasing fancy new pens but never quite gets around to using them.
