Kathleen Fu is already well known for her birds–eye perspective, Wimmelbilder–style cityscapes that are dense with detail. This one is especially unique because it was drawn from life. Kathleen traveled to the 77th floor of the M City Condo building — still under construction at the time — to capture the view of Mississauga, Ontario below. She was invited to do the live drawing for the topping off party celebrating the completion of the building’s construction. The finalized artwork is now displayed at a large scale in the lobby of the building, celebrating the iconic landmarks and vibrant communities of the city.
