Jean-Francois Podevin illustrated a mural about quantum mechanics for Princeton University. He created a metaphorical representation of two teacups pouring themselves in and out simultaneously to illustrate “quantum entanglement.” He drew inspiration from Alice and Wonderland, saying, “Making sense of quantum mechanics is like plunging into a Carrollian world of Cheshire cats and Alice’s mad tea parties, a world that gets ‘curiouser and curiouser.'”
