Zara Picken was commissioned to create an illustration for The Getty Center, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. As a part of the celebrations, community festivals have been held across LA to thank Angelenos for embracing Getty as part of their community.
The concept of this illustration was to create a gift for LA—a virtual bouquet of flowers—to be used across a wide range of media. The image is inspired by Van Gogh’s irises, one of the Getty’s most recognizable artworks.
