It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of one of our longtime illustrators, Robert de Michiell, who lost his battle with cancer at age 57 on October 12th. He is survived by his husband, theatrical manager Jeffrey Wilson.
Robert began his relationship with Gerald & Cullen Rapp in 1994. For many years he was one of the country’s most popular caricature and pop culture artists.
Robert’s work has graced the pages of numerous leading publications, including The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, The New Yorker and The Wall Street Journal. He has also created posters for many Broadway productions, and has done work for such diverse clients as Absolut Vodka, Hasbro, American Express, VH1 and Pepsi.
